ABOUT ME

I am a young french and religion teacher from northern Ontario, who just moved to Chatham to start my career (which allows me to have my summers off, to travel and do other fun things). I've been traveling since 2009 and don't plan on giving it up.

PHILOSOPHY

You can't beat the clock. Best thing to do is join forces and have one helluva time!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a 20+ people in my humble abode in Gatineau as well as have had been hosted by a dozen people in the US and Brazil. I also partake in a few CS-orientated events and have started a popular monthly potluck in my city through CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Beside the one negative experience (you can read up on it in my references) I've had nothing but great things to say about Couchsurfing. It's a great way to make friends, to break away from your routine lifestyle (by hosting people and going to events) and a safer and more enjoyable way to travel (since you're with locals who knows where to go and when to go there).

Movies: Cidade de Deus, Shawshank Redemption, Les Triplettes de Belleville, La Grande Seduction and Irreversible

Novel: Animal Farm, The Metamorphisis, La Flèche Manquée, Germinal and Cyrano de Bergerac

Other works of literature: The Holy Bible, Howl, The Gay Science, Betrayal, La Belle Dame Sans Mercy.

Music: Well.. really, I like anything that will make me dance or meditate.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- I've taken the Trans-Siberian Railway with my girlfriend while speaking minimal Russian.
- I've founded a theological theater festival at my old University
- I partook in a 10 day canoe trip through the Canadian Shield and into the Hudson Bay Lowlands
