About Me
Hey, I‘m Mara from northern Germany. Since September ‘24 I‘ve been traveling through Europe while working via workaway/ whoofing. It‘s all about learning new skills, meeting inspiring people.. but whom am I telling this? If you travel yourself, you know exactly what I‘m talking about. In between workaway projects, I‘d like to explore more independently while staying in touch with locals - like you?
About me.. I am a pretty calm and grounded person, curious about everything that could widen my perspectives. I need the people around me to be honest and authentic and I like to discuss different kinds of subjects.
Due to my curiosity, I enjoy museums, books, nature and good conversation, but also observing my environment and all the nice little things that happen to be!
In exchange for sleeping on your couch, I am happy to support you. I can help you with renovation projects/ DIYs, your garden, the househould, cooking, grocery shopping, repairing your bicycle.. Thanks to having worked in a wood restauration workshop for one year, I have some skills in handling machines and tools needed for refurbishing furniture or general work around the house. Also on my journey I gained precious experiences I could share with you. Or we just have a great time hanging out and sharing good memories, going in activities together and get a glimpse of each others lifes? Ouff, that’s enough advertising for me..
I hope you have an idea of who I am now & are insterested in hosting me :D
As soon as I have a room again, I‘ll try hosting cause I love the idea of helping travellers and getting to know people!
:)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book of all times is probably ‚Momo‘ from german author Michael Ende. She is a young girl with the superpower of listening so that people find solutions for their problems just from telling her. Later, she is able to defeat time-stealing men, accompanied by her turtle friend.
I enjoy many kinds of music, rock, indie & classical pieces most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cycled fife hours through the beginning of the pyrennees for a visit in a wood turning workshop. The artist inspired and supported me in my passions and I made a spinning top. I would do it again.
