Hi, my name is Marah and I'm 21 years old. Even though I'm originally from Germany, I currently live in Raleigh, North Carolina to pursue my studies in International Management. I'm passionate about travelling and learning about other cultures which is why I've participated in various exchange programs ever since high school. I really like sports. I've done kickboxing for several years and enjoy yoga, hiking, cycling, and skiing from time to time. Other than that, I like cooking, baking, and just in general trying new recipes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Last year I traveled to New York with a friend, a more experienced Couchsurfer, with whom I used Couchsurfing for the very first time. I was really impressed, how staying with locals changed my travel experience for the better. Most of all, I loved meeting new people as well as learning about them and their city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eating some Tahini Ice Cream at Chelsea Market in New York (which I can definitely recommend ) together with my friend and host in November last year and rafting for the first time at the New River Gorge in West Virginia in October.
