Hello! My name is Marat, I'm 19 years old, I am a student in Russia, I study computer science in Kazan Federal University.
All my childhood I wanted to become an actor, but became a programmer, btw I don't regret it, I like it really much, as a result, I enjoy rewatching a great actings and performances in movies. My dream of travelling came to me when I was about 9, I read my first book The Old Man and the Sea, a novel by Ernest Hemingway. Three yearls later, I fell in love with fantasy books, I read Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia and this is how the dream of travelling was born and growing up.
Six months ago I decided to travel to the USA, alone. And when I got here, when I was in Chicago airport, I didn't feel alone or helpless, I had the feeling that I can do whatever I want, that there is no limit in our potential, and it was unusual knowing that literally on the other side of the Earth live all my family, my Fiancee , my friends, but I'm here. Anytime I needed help there was someone supporting me, I believe in boomerang of kind actions, when you do something with good intentions, it will come back to you twice more.
I just want to meet responsive and kind people to become friends and maybe meet sometimes in future, hopefully I will come here again

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got to USA by "Work and Travel" program, it's a kind of thing that gives you an opportunity to come to America, working a whole summer and then to travel all around the USA. I've been living in Wisconsin Dells for 3 months and now I'm going to Chicago, where I will live with the kindest family which I met when I was working in a restaurant. We were talking about my trip and they invited me to live in their house in Chicago, I was so amazed by the humanity people showed to me, and after that moment I decided to try to find more people like them, friendly and socially confident, outgoing type of persons.
My plan is to have a trip on the west coast, visit Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Grand Canyon, Zion national park, Road 66, and then go to New York, from 17 to 25 of september, and then fly back to Russia.
I will be so happy if I find CSers willing to host me for a week or at least for a couple of days
