About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To broaden my perspectives by hosting and meeting people from all over the world!
ABOUT ME
I'm a fun-loving guy who enjoys people and I try to stay busy with several things... hosting couchsurfers being the latest endeavor I've gotten into. I love it so far!
I'm an East coast native, I've lived in the midwest as well and now I have some California love!
Very close with my family, I'm a nice Jewish boy, and I'm always open to whatever's fun (and willing to try new things).
PHILOSOPHY
The whole "treat others as you would like to be treated" is a good way to live your life. There are so many amazing people out there- everyone's got an interesting story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in couchsurfing by surfing with awesome people all over the US (but hope to use it the next time I do travel outside the country), and hosting couchsurfers as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with a kooky guy who became one of the most awesome people I've met, the best dog groomer in St. Louis, a guy who was excommunicated from the Mormon church for putting together racy calendars featuring Mormons, and a few folks who never have a dull moment socially at all. Every experience has been unique and amazing.
I've hosted a couple of guys who were in town to play 30+ street pianos, two Brazilian girls who had so much great energy, a couple of wonderful girls from Latvia who helped us dance the night away out and about, several very sweet Germans, a guy from China who got to go to the Beijing Olympics, a guy from Denmark who had the most positive energy, along with several other folks. Every experience hosting has been quite a pleasure!
Interests
I love running marathons (I've run one in all 50 states! Every time I've surfed it has been in conjunction with a race).
In addition, I love travel, random road trips in California (where I live), hanging with friends trying out new places to eat, biking (just completed a 545 mile ride for charity in June from San Francisco to Los Angeles). I swim as well- great way to cool down in the heat.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music in general for me- 80s music is cool, rock/alternative, dance music is all right- anything with a good beat which pumps me up for training runs. :)
Favorite movie is Crash. I love comedies, dramas, thrillers.
Books- I love Chelsea Handler and Tucker Max books. They are both hysterical.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been fortunate enough to travel cross country a few times. Once all the way across, and a couple of other times, halfway across. Coming out to Los Angeles from Minnesota, getting to see the Grand Canyon and Pikes Peak were both amazing adventures that I will never forget. Talk about incredible scenery!
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm... I guess I never thought much of myself as a teacher of anything. I always thought it would be awesome to train people to start running I guess. Maybe working up to running 5Ks, 10Ks... marathons. :)
I would love to learn how to cook. Right now most items for me come from boxes or cans- or food from the grill.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Chile, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Kenya, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, United Kingdom
