About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to soak up as many positive experiences as I can while abroad in Hungary for the semester.
ABOUT ME
I am a passionate, intense person, and it is easiest to describe myself in terms of the things I love. I love math, and I hope to make a career out of being a mathematics professor at a university some day. I am fluent in French, I intend to continue playing piano for the rest of my life (Rachmaninoff is my favorite composer; I've played his 10th, 5th and 12th preludes from Op 32), and I am completely in love with mountains. I love to experience new things, and I will be willing to try out new exciting things and move outside of my comfort zone.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that my life is a precious commodity. I have always respected wisdom, experience and joy over money, and I can become frustrated when I cannot spend my time doing things that I love. I find that my most cherished memories are when I am with one or two close friends and we are completely absorbed in whatever activity we are in the middle of. I think that true character is built by being in new situations, having my beliefs challenged, and venturing outside of my comfort zone. I find myself hoping that when I die, my life does indeed pass before my eyes, because my life thus far has been so full of memories, and seeing them all again would be incredibly rewarding. I truly believe life is beautiful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At this point I am only able to surf, and I am unable to host. However, I believe that I could be a very good couch surfer: I enjoy cooking and playing music, and I love to get to know people and hear new perspectives. If I have good experiences with this program and I get back to a place where I can host, I think that I would love to host some couch surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have no personal experience yet. My only knowledge of this program comes from Amy Fly, who has couch surfed 8 times now and loved the experiences.
