I live in Streeterville (Downtown Chicago). I've got a couch people can crash on and if people aren't super picky there is space on the floor for an air mattress. The location is really good to get just about anywhere in Chicago (I'm just north of the loop with convenient access to the CTA Red line). If I'm not busy with work I'm happy to hang out and show guests around places that I know. I'm new to Chicago so my knowledge is a little limited but I try to explore as much as I can. I'm familiar with some of the music venues and clubs around the city so if you're looking for something to do on a weekend I can point you in the right direction. I tend to frequent places like Spybar, Metro/Smartbar, Primary, Empty Bottle, Double Door, basically anywhere that has good live music.

I prefer to host people over a weekend because I work during the week so that allows for some time to hang out. Weekdays are fine too but I'm usually not around until later in the evening.

Some places I'd really like to visit are San Antonio and Austin, Texas, the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Seattle, Eugene). California (San Francisco/Oakland/Berkeley, Santa Cruz). Boulder, CO. So if you're from any of those cities are are surfing through Chicago and might be willing to host me sometime in the future, definitely hit me up!

I haven't had a chance to surf yet but I would be happy to prepare meals for a host, or perhaps even better (considering my limited culinary skills) I can invite hosts to a dinner at a local restaurant in their city. I'm a pretty social guy and I like to go out and explore nightlife, so drinks are on me haha!
