About Me

Backpacker, sweater knitter, aspiring storyteller (and storytelling podcast enthusiast). Interested always in meeting adventurous and colorful people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seems like an interesting community, and I'd like to meet adventurous people. Eventually I would like to host, but right now I want to meet up with interesting people (either traveling through the city or here permanently) and explore the city with them, as I'm pretty new also.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, Beloved, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Infinite Jest, Ella Minnow Pea, Nothing to Envy, The Grapes of Wrath, Slouching Towards Bethlehem, The God of Small Things. I'm loving nonfiction after four years reading primarily fiction.

Movies:
Clueless, The Graduate, Almost Famous, The Big Lebowski
The Godfather, Brick, The Lives of Others

TV Series:
The Wire (all-time uncontested fave), Freaks and Geeks, Veronica Mars, Friday Night Lights, The Sopranos, Seinfeld,
Curb Your Enthusiasm, a million and one British detective shows

Currently behind on TV but need to continue True Detective, and make myself start Breaking Bad (it makes my heart hurt to watch!)

Music:
I like pretty much all genres. The Beatles were my favorite band growing up, and I still love them. Hip hop is my go-to workout music, and for studying, Chopin. Lately I've been listening to nothing but Lana.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Knit nearly two weeks' worth of sweaters.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I'm 24 I have a lot to learn and love meeting new people because they are so enriching to my perspective! There's so much I can learn from you, I'm sure.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, friendliness, my gratitude, new experiences in the places I'm traveling, can cook for you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Spain, Sweden, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
