I'm a 23-year-old teaching-student and as the son of a French father and an Italo-swiss mother, I've got a multicultural background. Therefore I'm very interested in dealing with and discovering new cultures and languages. And with different cultures come along different kinds of food. Eventhough I'm a thin guy, I love eating all different sorts of food and there's not much I dislike.
Due to my familial environment, I'm also a musical-type and very much into black-music, especially Funk. I like both, being in groups and being alone but neither one too long:).
As I'm married since last September, I'm travelling with my wonderful wife Sarah.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know authentic, domestic people. I'm not comfortable in hotels for a long time. I need to get in contact with the culture and people of the country I'm staying at, otherwhise a visit does not make much sense to me. Also, as my wife and I are both young and I am still on my studies, we could not afford to stay in hotels all the time. A fact of which I'm kind of happy, so there's more time to get to know people and conversate instead of just eating, watching TV or sleeping:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm very much into two bigger genres: black-music and latin. E.g. Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz, Blues, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Prince, Eminem . Then Latin, Flamenco, Cuban music. And then there's even a little room for one or another ACDC-song :)
Movies: I like films with historical background, like "Lincoln". Within my favourite actors there are e.g. Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx or Tom Hanks. My favourite movie is "The Hurricane" with D.W., that film is just amazing...
Books: I read everything. Political, historical, spiritual, fictional books. Lately I have gotten a few books talking about different topics that deal with our modern system, so I'm actually reading about the history of money, modern slavery or the ancient Rome.

Teach, Learn, Share

As you might have seen on my profile, I'm interested in learning any language, learning about any history and culture and I'm always in for having a musical jam session. Anywhere, anyhow :)
I'm very open-minded about learning in general. It doesn't really matter what subject:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a teacher for French and English as foreign languages (=on a basical level), music and sport (soccer) I can offer to teach basical skills. Furthermore I have already been teaching lessons about certain passages of European and world history as well as about monotheistic religions (especially Islam).
