About Me

ABOUT ME

I was born in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Language teacher (English, Spanish and Portuguese) since 2000.

My background is in Anthropology and International Relations, so I'm always curious about how people in other cultures live their lives. I was born and raised in Brazil, but lived in America for ten years, before returning to Brazil, living there for 4 years before moving to Estonia last year, where I start a master's in semiotics.

PHILOSOPHY

1. Do to others what you would like to be done to you (The golden rule shared by all religions);
2. Don't live on assumption;
3. When words are true and kind, they can change our world (Buddha);
4. At the risk of sounding ridiculous, a true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. (Che Guevarra)
5. Apathy and Silence are collaborators of Hatred and Prejudice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is everything I like in one place:
* it's a community - I believe in the power of community, and have always worked with communities.
* it's global - the best way to end prejudice and racism is to expose people to the different. CS does it like no one.
* it's involves communication in other languages - The only way to live outside your box is to learn another language, which will teach you about another culture, another people, etc.
