About Me

I love travel. My favorite part of traveling is being tapped into a larger network of friends. I have been doing hair for over 18 years and LOVE chatting with new people. Seeing new places and having magical experiences while I am away keeps me going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to build a larger community. I like the idea of connecting to people in a way that creates a deeper trust in our ability to take care of each other on a global scale. I love learning about a city through the eyes of a local. I want to hear how they have found comfort and magic where they walk everyday.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty broad. I can be listening to Blossom Dearie in the morning and end the day with Citizen Fish. I might be listening to Taylor Swift and switch to Phyllis Dillon. I am currently reading The Mind by Yogi Bhajan but I also have a People magazine sitting on my table. I'm the same with Movies, I might be watching a rom-com on Monday and a documentary on Wednesday. I like the polarity in the world. I like to experience a wider scope of what is happening in the world. I do have a hard time with violence and complete ridiculousness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ONE? I think the most amazing thing I have ever done was when I moved to San Francisco by myself at 23. The reason this was so amazing is because I had helped create a million dollar salon had all of the friends I would ever need and a boyfriend. I wanted to experience more. I basically left everything I ever built to start over again. The cool thing about that was It worked. I was able to create it all again. Then I dropped it all to move to Portland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn languages. I would be happy to teach people to find home in their heart through nourishment, fun, deep listening and letting go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open mind and heart.
