About Me
Hi! I’m Marcia from southern Germany and currently staying in Montpellier for a few weeks to take a French language course. It’s been 9 years since I last had the chance to enjoy time off in the south and by the sea – so I’m extra excited about this trip!
I’d love to explore the area on weekends, for example Marseille or smaller towns and nature spots nearby. Couchsurfing with locals would be amazing – not just for a place to stay, but to get some insider tips and, most importantly, to practice my French. It’s still a bit rough, but I manage with hands, feet, and a smile. 🙃
I recently finished my Fine Arts degree and have a strong interest in cultural things – museums, concerts, and queer-friendly, creative places. I’m a respectful and adaptable guest – clean, quiet, and very grateful. I also love animals and have absolutely no problem if you have pets!
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, seeing places through local eyes, and improving my French in real-life conversations. Merci and maybe see you soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few years ago, when I was still a student, I went on a five-week low-budget backpacking trip through Sweden – and Couchsurfing was something I tried for the first (and so far only) time. To my surprise, it turned out to be the best decision I could’ve made.
The people I met and the experiences we shared made the trip truly unique – much more personal and memorable than staying anywhere else. That connection with locals gave me a completely different perspective on the places I visited.
Now I’d love to have that kind of experience again: sharing stories, learning from others, and seeing places through the eyes of the people who actually live there.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love any kind of music as long as it's good. Except for the hard stuff and mainstream music.
And i have numerous books in my shelf that have tremendously impacted my life. Only nonfiction books though, most of them dealing whether with Art, Health related themes or the 'occult'.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can provide tasty vegan or vegetarian meals in return for my stay. I could also walk your dog in case you have one. And I will not mess up your home or annoy you with loud music or anything unpleasant!
