My name is Marco and I'm a 26 year old surfer from Germany.

I'm really open-minded and a social person so I love to meet new people! Once I find friends they easily become part of my family.
I love to cook so there will always be something tasty to eat :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing to meet friendly people all around the world. It's a great opportunity to connect each other and be able to travel into many countries. I want to share my experiences, tell and listen to stories and last but not least maybe even find new friends for life!

Interests

My biggest passion is surfing! It's a great connection with nature and makes me traveling to chase nice waves or meet friendly people.

Yoga gives me the power to do so as well as healthy meals which I love to cook by myself!

Another passion is music - I play the guitar since two years and I really enjoy to dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love all different kind of music! My very favorites are reggae and dancehall.
Also I'm enjoying jam sessions with guitar, drums and other instruments.

My favourite movies are Cloud Atlas, Inception, Forrest Gump, Matrix and The Lion King :D

My favorite books are Scott Lynch's series about Locke Lamora, a thief with kind of an attitude like Robin Hood I'd say :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is a backpacking tour with a tent at the Mediterranean Sea from the south of Spain (Málaga) until Italy (Milan). This was the start of my backpacking career and made me to discover other countries as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I love to cook I'm always open to teach or to learn new recipes. That's another nice effect of traveling: you get connected to people from other countries and cultures so you will get to know dishes you have never heard of before!

I'd say my Yoga skills are pretty good so I can teach a bit of it, too - about surfing: I'm an intermediate myself so I could just teach some basics ^^ Same for playing the guitar.

I'm always open to learn new things, so feel free to teach me something if you like :D

And because sharing is caring I always love to share my food as well es my ears - means that I'm a good listener as well as story teller =)
