school, languages, run, fun
I do too many things...but I can't give anything up. we'll probably get along.
funny, when I read "why do you live your life?" it sounds like, "are you sure living is a good idea?" I'm just trying to find the right balance between what I should be trying to control and what I shouldn't be trying to control.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have both hosted and surfed...I've also joined in plenty of CS-hosted events in Montreal and other cities
everyone that I have hosted and surfed with has been great...I've met a lot of interesting people thanks to that as well as CS-sponsored events
philosophy, languages, competitive running, going to the occasional concert, trying new things
- track and field
Music, Movies, and Books
I like at least a couple things from pretty much every musical/film genre...as far as books go, I mostly am too buried in my academic texts to go beyond them, but I decided recently I need to start forcing myself to find time to read literature (so I'm open to suggestions!).
most of the movies and books I watch/read these days aren't in english, because I feel guilty doing things in english all the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"amazing" is a pretty intimidating word. I wouldn't describe some of my competitive running experiences as "amazing," but some other people have used that word. in terms of things that were actually amazing to me - I'd say the closest call would probably be a walk I took high in the swiss alps.
Teach, Learn, Share
languages! I'm happy to help and to learn. I wouldn't actually call myself "fluent" in all contexts for each of the languages listed above, but I can certainly have very long and in-depth conversations in all of them without problems.
I suppose I could also tell you a few things about philosophy and/or competitive running if you want to know.
