About Me
Hi I'm Traveling with my girlfriend...We are a motivated and happy young couple with a lot positive energy.
Nina is originally from Belgium, and Marco from Italy. We got to know each other working together in Spain.
During the three next months this summer, (July,August and September '19) we will travel the French and Spanish Mediterranean coast with our VW T3 doing a project dedicated to charity and collecting funds for a good cause (Walkabout Foundation).
We practice a lot of activities together, like mountain climbing, yoga, running, etc. and we are eager to learn every time new things!
We speak different languages: Spanish, French, English, Dutch, Italian, German and Catalan.
Don't hesitate to contact us, or ask anything, we will be pleased to answer you :) !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We’re excited to invite you to be part of the Wayoga Expedition. It’s a charity project that collects funds for the Walkabout Foundation, by sharing donation-based yoga classes. The Walkabout Foundation provides wheelchairs and rehabilitation in the developing world for people with mobility disabilities, with special attention for children. Giving mobility back is something you cannot put a price on. We imagine that the idea of being able to contribute effortlessly to giving mobility back to a child, warms your heart, just like us.
WHY ARE WE ON THIS MISSION?
Earlier this year we experienced the fear of Marco getting paralyzed because of a spinal injury. Thanks to a successful surgery and a good dose of luck, it didn’t come this far and Marco is recovering step by step. This had a big impact on us and we want to commit ourselves to people who are less fortunate (read more about our story on the website: www.wayoga.net ).
MORE ABOUT THE WAYOGA PROJECT:
We’ve created the Wayoga project in an attempt to unite people for charity. Our mission is to get to Santiago de Compostela while collecting funds sharing donation-based yoga classes and raise awareness about the importance of a healthy spine. The expedition will start in the South of France at the beginning of July ‘19. Our goal is to get to Santiago with our VW T3 ‘81 in 12 weeks. All benefits will go straight to the Walkabout Foundation.
HOW CAN YOU HELP US?
If you have a garden or a simple power outlet for us to be able to park our van, it would be fantastic and help us to continue with our mission.
Thank you again for your time to read this to the end and your support. Every help will make a difference, and we are forever grateful for your contribution. It means a lot to us.
Lots of love,
Nina & Marco
