I had a loonger and far moredetailed profile description in the old Couchsurfing (I am a member since 2009, not 2013!), and I was fully verified and I had a lot of positive references! But apparently everything was lost when Couchsurfing renewed the website and the whole data platform!! Grrrr!

Jokes aside (?), it's because it's a great form of travelling and make new experience by knowing so many different people. I think it's quite obvious!
