Oi! Eu sou o Marcos, ator e criador de conteúdo, apaixonado por viagens, histórias locais e cultura. Costumo viajar com meu pai, o que sempre torna as experiências ainda mais especiais. Tenho um espírito bem-humorado e adoro conhecer pessoas novas, trocar ideias e boas risadas.

Sou uma pessoa organizada, responsável e pontual — sempre cuido para deixar o ambiente limpo e respeitar ao máximo o espaço e as regras da casa onde estou. Acredito que cada experiência de viagem é uma troca, por isso também fico feliz em receber pessoas na minha cidade, Cornélio Procópio. Apesar de ser uma cidade pequena do interior do Paraná, acho que sempre existe algo legal para compartilhar, seja a cultura local, a comida ou simplesmente uma boa conversa.

Hi! I’m Marcos, an actor and content creator who loves traveling, local culture, and collecting stories along the way. I usually travel with my father, which makes the journey even more meaningful. I’m easygoing, enjoy good humor, and love meeting new people.

I’m very organized, respectful, and always on time. I make sure to keep the place clean and to respect the house rules wherever I stay. For me, Couchsurfing is all about exchange — and even though I live in a small countryside city in Brazil (Cornélio Procópio), I’m also happy to host and share a bit of our local life, food, and culture.

I believe Couchsurfing is a unique way to truly experience the culture of each place. Talking to locals, sharing stories, and seeing the city from a different perspective — beyond the tourist side — makes every trip more meaningful. For me, it’s about living the real day-to-day life of people, learning from them, and building genuine connections.
Of course, there’s also the financial side — traveling becomes more affordable thanks to this amazing community of sharing and hospitality.

Minha banda preferida é o Queen (sou fã de Radio Gaga, Don’t Stop Me Now e Bohemian Rhapsody), mas também gosto muito de Beatles e Bee Gees. Nos livros, sou apaixonado pelas histórias de Sherlock Holmes e tudo que envolve mistério.
No cinema, sigo a mesma linha: gosto de filmes de aventura e busca de tesouros, como Os Goonies e A Lenda do Tesouro Perdido, além dos clássicos de comédia que marcaram época — Corra que a Polícia Vem Aí, Loucademia de Polícia e, claro, De Volta para o Futuro.

My favorite band is Queen (big fan of Radio Gaga, Don’t Stop Me Now and Bohemian Rhapsody), but I also enjoy The Beatles and Bee Gees. When it comes to books, I really like Sherlock Holmes and everything related to mystery.
Movies follow the same vibe: I love adventures and treasure hunts like The Goonies and National Treasure, as well as classic comedies — The Naked Gun, Police Academy, and of course, Back to the Future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uma das experiências mais marcantes da minha vida aconteceu durante minhas viagens com o teatro. Em uma apresentação, uma jovem de 15 anos veio me agradecer depois do espetáculo, dizendo que sua mãe — que estava de luto pela perda do marido — tinha voltado a sorrir pela primeira vez em meses. Escutar isso foi emocionante e me mostrou a força que a arte pode ter na vida das pessoas.

Outra experiência muito especial foi quando pude visitar um hospital caracterizado como palhaço, passando um tempo com os pacientes, conversando e brincando com eles. Foram alguns minutos simples, mas que trouxeram sorrisos e fizeram toda a diferença para mim.

An amazing thing I’ve done (EN)

One of the most memorable experiences in my life happened while traveling with my theater play. After one performance, a 15-year-old girl came to thank me, saying that her mother — who had been grieving the loss of her husband — smiled for the first time in months during the show. Hearing that was truly moving and showed me how powerful art can be in people’s lives.

Another very special moment was visiting a hospital as a clown, spending time with patients, talking and playing with them. Just a few minutes of laughter, but it meant a lot — for them and for me.

Para mim, viajar é exatamente isso: ensinar, aprender e compartilhar. É conhecer novas culturas, provar comidas diferentes e também levar um pouco da minha própria cultura brasileira — com histórias, sabores e experiências.

Na vida, acredito que a comédia e o humor sempre devem estar na frente. Porque, no fim, as coisas acontecem do jeito que têm que acontecer. Então, se podemos escolher, melhor rir e tirar algo bom até das situações ruins.

For me, traveling is exactly about this: teaching, learning, and sharing. It’s about discovering new cultures, trying different food, and also bringing a little of my own Brazilian culture — stories, flavors, and experiences.

In life, I believe comedy and humor should always come first. In the end, things will happen the way they’re meant to, so it’s better to laugh and find the bright side, even in difficult moments.
A phrase I always say is: “Take the good side of the bad thing and have fun with it.”

O que posso compartilhar com os anfitriões (PT)

O que eu mais gosto de compartilhar são sorrisos e bom humor — às vezes com piadas bobas (mesmo que em outro idioma eu ainda esteja treinando 😅). Também adoro contar histórias das viagens que já fiz e, se houver tempo, posso até preparar uma comidinha brasileira para o anfitrião experimentar.

Não tenho algo fixo para oferecer, porque acredito que cada encontro é único. O foco da conversa pode ser teatro, viagens, cultura, ou simplesmente aquilo que o anfitrião mais gosta. O que posso garantir é respeito, educação, bom humor e vontade de aprender e trocar experiências. Estar de peito aberto para essa troca é o que realmente importa para mim.

What I can share with hosts (EN)

What I enjoy sharing the most are smiles and good humor — sometimes with silly jokes (even if it’s harder in another language, I’ll still try 😅). I also love telling stories from my past travels and, if there’s time, I’d be happy to cook a little Brazilian dish for my host to try.

I don’t have one specific thing to offer, because I believe every meeting is unique. The focus of the conversation can be theater, travel, culture, or simply whatever the host is most interested in. What I can always guarantee is respect, politeness, good humor, and the willingness to learn and exchange experiences. For me, keeping an open heart to share knowledge and friendship is what really matters.
