ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Marco in my daily life I'm a history and geography teacher. Beside that I am a very busy with social and voluntary work. I'm doing social work for my community (youth work) and I am one of the organizers of the youth exchange program of the sister-city relationship between the Haarlemmermeer and Cebu (Philippines).
Beside all that social work I have lost my heart on traveling and especially on Latin-America. Two years ago I have traveled for one year in South America, Foi maravilhoso!

So you'll maybe understand I am a social and flexible person. I like to meet new people and I'm open for new plans. So let me know ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now I have little couchsurf experience. Most of the times I met people on my trip and I visit them in their place. Something like old skool couchsurfing ;)

Best remember is from 2015 in the Philippines, I was hosted by a very very very sweet grandmother of 83 years. She only spook Cebuano. (sorry I didn't speak that). But we had a great time! She talked for hours and hours. I responded in dutch and in my very little Cebuano. I slept on the floor, but that doesn't make a sense. The time was fabulous. (I was there project bases, so not by couchcsurfing, she hadn't a couch I had to sleep on the floor, hahaha)
