Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To improve my skill and balance when surfing on couches, of course.
More seriously, I think, and hope, that CS is a way to genuinely discover the regions I am travelling through, adding a human touch.

Been surfing a handful of times across Finland so far. Haven't been kicked out yet, must be a good sign eh?

I have a terrible memory of stuff I watched, listened and read. It's also quite eclectic in style and genre so that doesn't help. You go check my Spotify and tell me what I listen because I don't have a clue, my playlist is such a mess. Somewhat exploring Finnish and Russian cinema and literature!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I skied in the Rockies once. 2 hours later, I was attending the local ER room for knee injury.

Froze off at 6 am on top of a 8 000 ft mountain, contemplating the city lights and the sun rising (behind the clouds). 10/10 will do again.

I also fly small planes. Landing them is a whole other matter (don't tell my passengers).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Comparing our respective countries' most ridiculous clichés, French slang, a good hike, a good lunch or dinner (after the good hike), cheese.

Did I mention food? I'm a terrible cook besides one or two dishes but with instructions maybe I can get somewhere.
