Overview
About Me
I'm a traveler from Northern Germany who wants to experience different countries - foremost people, culture, history. I always like get to know the views of the locals who are the soul of the country. As a solo traveler independence is important for me - but foremost the ease of getting in touch with the people.
I was born in Eastern (communist) Germany and although I was young when the wall opened many memories still remain. That's also why I prefer a free society.
In contrast to many Germans I don't drink alcohol and don't follow football at least not intensively.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me being on a holiday is not only visiting sights, historical place, nature, etc but predominantly understanding how local people live, their daily routine. Thus I try to spend time around locals, taking to strangers, watching them conducting their business.
Thus: For me couchsurfing is the best way start and finish a day.
Interests
Daily gym exercise, cooking (asian, arabic, mediterranean), cycling (great way to experience local life).
Taking pictures, mostly of my travels and mostly of local life. Have a look: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sucramyef/albums
