ABOUT ME

Our parents grew up in the same town and were close friends. We met for the first time when Jo was 17 and I was 14. After 27 years of Jo being with the wrong person, and Marcus finding a lot of wrong persons, we have found the right person in each other. Isn't that a great story? We're living life on our own terms. We put 80 USD away every week and when it gets big enough we go to all the places we want to experience. You're free to stay on our couch and have a good experience with us when we have the room, and we'd love to stay on yours and share the same positive experience with you.

We want to meet cool people, because we're cool, and so cool people have a habit of wanting that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I (Marcus speaking) was hosted throughout China while I was shooting a documentary through my friends profile. We had two great couches and were hosted by an english school in Yangshou for a week. Was awesome, we got to sit in on classes and be a part of the student's education process. Jo is excited about her first hosting and hosted experience.

We're stupid in love with each other, and are finally with a partner who allows the other to live their life the way they want. It's beautiful. Marcus loves film, literature, fishing, and everything that makes him smile. Jo loves the outdoors, reading, art and experiencing new adventures. We both like going where the wind takes us and enjoying every adventure we encounter along the way. We want to spend our lives doing what we love, being with someone who allows that, and sharing wonderful experiences together.

Jo-- Movies: Action adventure, biographies, romance, thrillers. Books: Historical romances, survival stories, philosophical parables, comedies. Music: Alternative, electronic, classic rock, Broadway show tunes.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Marcus-- Was born in Germany. Was a military brat who also traveled to England, France, Portugal and the states before I was 10. Worked in Alaska for 4 years in a fish cannery. Started a cafe. Jumped trains, and have traveled the world as a citizen of the world. I have shared food, lodging and stories with people across this planet.

Jo-- Also a military brat who lived in 18 different places including Greece. I gave birth to 2 wonderful daughters who have grown to be my best friends. The bravest thing I ever did was to leave a bad marriage and move to Seattle to be with a wonderful man. I love animals and have raised many abandoned wild strays, and once a mama bird fed her baby right on top of my head.

Jo-- Have questions about kids? I ran a daycare for 21 years. I love children and teaching them and watching them grow and learn. I also love to learn and am a willing listener to any knowledge you might have to share with me.

Marcus-- Film, literature, awesome cook, and am a constant appreciator of honest open communication. Would rather talk about something real then dance around the minutia of life.
