About Me

Just recently moved to Berlin. Not settled yet, but happy to meet up!

---

Being a lonely traveller in the big world it's a lot of help to find open and curious people in any corner of the earth! Living in China since about two years still gives me every day a bit of on the road feeling, I love strolling the city during my free time. Introducing friends to the city is quite a bit of fun for me, although this happens mostly on evenings and weekends, as I have to work during daytime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since two of my friends are absolute die-hard couch surfer and enjoy it a lot I finally also want to get into it. Having my own place now for the first time ever makes it easier for me to accomodate folks, so I'm up and ready to show you my version of Beijing. Nevertheless I'm still eager to go to new places, and escape whenever possible!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Allgaeu Orient Rallye 2013 - driving more than 8,000km from Germany to Jordan on a rust-bucket of a car. Meeting people, crossing borders, having breakdowns and engine heated canned food, sleeping in the car far too often, sunrise over the Death Sea, ...

What I Can Share with Hosts

What's on the menu then for Beijing: Explorering restaurants and cafes, seeing contemporary exhibitions and concerts in my favourite venues. Finding new markets for food and stuff you didn't know yet you need it one day. Getting lost in the traditional old town alleys and seeing Chinese life in the Hutong not much changed during the last hundred years. What are you expecting of BJ?
