I am a professional IT kinda guy who is traveling full time this year. I am a great house guest. I am clean, quiet and considerate. I pick up after myself and, try and help around the house with things that need done during my stay.

With traveling full time I welcome any and all ways to keep my costs to a minimum. Also it's invaluable to be able to make friends while on the road and couch surfing is just another modality in which to make friends and connections.

Also one of my favorite things to do when I visit a city is to stay out of the tourist areas and really connect with individual neighborhoods. What better way to do this than couch surf?!
