About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy my life to the fullest, connect with great people, and utilize my energy to affect positive change in the World.

ABOUT ME

ENTP who laughs a lot. I'm passionate about most things, love traveling and adventuring around the world!!!

Roadtripping x-country from Alaska to NYC in my badass campervan ‘Baby Beluga’.

Bi-continental lifestyle studying a Masters in sustainability. Been living in Alaska for over 9 years, but am originally from FL.

I dig outdoor stuff like snowboarding, hiking, fishing, camping, diving, etc. I love going out, seeing live music, & dancing. I’m an open book w/ opinions to share.

I make an honest effort to find commonality with people who I encounter in my life. I am someone who enjoys having fun above all. I have a deep respect and regard for the natural environment and try to take every opportunity to spend time outside. Professionally, I try to apply my skills to better the World and the Human Condition. I have a strong passion for experiencing the most out of life and all that it offers. I often find myself with more energy than most, which can be a blessing and a curse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a host and a surfer.

I live in a premiere tourist destination and would like to provide a place for cool independent budget-conscious travelers to stay when traveling through Juneau.

I am also an avid traveler myself and consequently would like to meet and stay with locals when on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and surfed over the years and love meeting new people from around the world.

Interests

I enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits including but not limited to snowboarding, kayaking & canoeing, camping, scuba diving & snorkeling, & hiking. I also love experiencing new cultures, whether it be music, literature, art, film, or dance (I host a weekly radio show at one of our public radio stations, KXLL). I enjoy conversing with individuals of all walks of life and making genuine connections with people. I enjoy dancing, reveling, and partying but also relish the chill times. I'm also huge history buff and map nerd (Geography major and History minor).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a tough one to choose. I specialize in doing amazing things...

I've motobiked around Sumatra for 3 weeks covering 1500km. Dove 55m below the surface to explore a Nazi shipwreck. Paddled and hiked across the Everglades multiple times. Camped solo on the Highest Mountain in Texas. Hiked into Glacial Ice Caves. Watched the Solstice Sunrise over the Juneau Icefield. Surfed in the Gulf of Alaska. Many more I can't recall...
