I don't feel the need for one right now :)
I was born and raised on the beaches of Sydney.. But for some strange reason, I just decided to quit my job, put my promising career in advertising on hold (working on beer and chocolate! Who would give that up?!), pack up my stuff, sell my motorbike (temporarily I hope) and tune out for a year or as long as I possibly can. For now, I don't want to think about the future, or anything other than today.
I spent most of my time the past year living off my bicycle and riding across Europe (from Sweden to Romania) and traveling around South East Asia (like a normal person this time). In the next few months I've loosely planned to travel North to China and then taking the transsiberian across to Russia!
Do things that make you nervous, you will never (well, hardly ever) regret it after.
'I don't have time' is the worst possible excuse for not doing something - our time is the one (maybe only) thing we really own and can actually influence.
I really like the quote by Renzo Gracie - 'Fighting is the best thing a man can have in his soul'.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been hosted quite a few times in my travels, but more often I've found that couchsurfing is such a great way to meet new people in a new city, whether locals or other travelers, and just hang out, explore together, have a drink or just a great conversation!
My two biggest passions are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which I have been training for 4 years (please don't confuse with capoeira or karate, that makes me sad) and photography which I have studied for 2 years in photography school. Whenever there is sunshine you will find me outdoors, usually at the beach, and I also love art exhibitions, delicious food (mostly just the eating part, not so much the cooking), beer, wine, whiskey, cognac, music, books, cycling and motorbikes.
Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling almost 4000km across Europe. Seeing the most amazing Northern Lights in Iceland, snowmobiling on a glacier with almost no one else around, snorkelling in 1 degree water, trying my hand at ice climbing. Wild camping in the ruins of an old Crusader castle in Estonia. Watching two hedgehogs argue over a bowl of milk (yeah). Finishing the 10,000 Pushups in July Challenge. Climbing the temples in Siem Reap, being dumped by an elephant into a lake, accidently swimming with dolphins in the ocean, scuba diving and freaking out at gigantic fish, sinking into the Travertines in Turkey, my first and only white Christmas in Latvia. Less amazing is my collection of martial arts related injuries - ask me and I can list them for you :)
