ABOUT ME

I'm currently taking a year off from my studies, I completed a degree in Nutrition last year, and I plan to start a second degree in Psychology next year. Part of this year off was spent backpacking in Europe.

I'm a self confessed nerd.

I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, but I'm of Croatian background and it was the first language I spoke

PHILOSOPHY

Learning, loving, laughing and living! These things to me are the essentials for having a fullfilling life.

There are always things to be learnt from the world around us and every single different person we meet, however small that thing may be.

A life without love, I think, is not a life worth living. Relationships are what carry us as individuals.

Laughing speads positivity and good feelings. Life is about sharing the energy between people, and laughing is the number one avenue for achieving this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think Couchsurfing is a great avenue for meeting new people. I am new to Couchsurfing, however, I have had experience in it, my boyfriend regularly hosts couchsurfers in his home, and his other housemates are also on couchsurfing.

Interests

The mind, people and human interactions (I am a budding psychologist after all!)

I do modelling part time, this is more of a hobby than a job, I have met some very interesting people through this industry, as well as some dodgy ones, but it makes it all the more interesting. It allows me to express myself creatively, as I have an interest in photography and love seeing the end results. On that note, sometimes I can be seen carrying around several cameras, currently I am in love with the infamous Holga, the original plastic toy camera, and it is accompanying me on my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pink Floyd, Faith No More (or anything Mike Patton for that matter), Groove Armada, Chemical Brothers, Air, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Michael

Movies, where do I even start??? Anything Tarantino, if we meet, we can go from there! I find any movie that is about drug addiction or crazy people particularly intriguing

Books: The book that changed my life is A New Earth by Eckhardt Tolle. Also love my typical dystopian novels, ie Brave New World, 1984, Animal Farm. Currently really into psychology based non fiction.
