Heyho:) My name is Marei, I am a Student living in the beautiful City of Tübingen. In my heart I'm still a traveller, although I have to put a lot of time into studying right now...
I'm always curious about discovering new places and getting to know new people because that's what taught me the most important things in my life.
I'm an outdoor girl, I love all sports outside, bouldering, skiing, but especially watersports (white water kayaking, surfing and diving are just some of my favorites).
After finishing high school I travelled the caribbean for a year, from one island to the next, worked in hostels, lived on sailing boats (one of my favorite places to live in!) and met so many wonderful people in beautiful places!

What I get excited about:
A lot of things actually:) I love water. That might sound weird, but water is something very special and beautiful, we should be grateful for every day.
And I'm very fond of making and building things. I love doing artwork and being creative. I like the idea of being able to make everything I need myself.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

First time I was couchsurfing, was while I was travelling the Caribbean an I was looking for a place to stay for a night in the short term. I experienced, that couchsurfing is a very nice way of meeting interesting and very different people.
I also appreciate some company while travelling alone, and the way your view of new places changes if you get to know them from the perspective of a local.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I spend some very crazy days in the Dominican Republic, trying to get from Punta Cana way in the east to Santo Domingo in the west. I didn't speak a word of spanish (and most of the Dominicans really only speak spanish) and my phone was broken, on which I had all my information. I didn't even remember the name of the hostel I had booked the next night. But fortune favors fools, and somehow everything worked out in the end.

Oh, and diving! Diving is another experience that I think is very special because there is a whole new world to discover under the sea, with as many beautiful things as we have over the water.
