I’m Mareike and I’m actually still a newbie traveler, means I haven’t travel as much as I would like to yet - and that needs to be changed!

So it would be really awesome if you could help me by offering a place to stay and showing me your city, your country, your culture and your language. In exchange, I can share my knowledge about the German culture and language, which is so lovely. Just kidding. But I’m fluent in English as well, so communication shouldn’t be a problem. I also got some basic skills in Italian and French and would love to improve those or learn something about other languages, I’m open to anything.

As you may have noticed, I’m quite interested in languages, which may be because I’m studying translation. Currently I’m doing my Master’s and am about to write my thesis. Afterwards, I really want to travel and explore the world, not only because I like languages but because I want to get to know as much about you and your culture as possible, including anything from food to spare time activities, movies, literature, music, lifestyle, fashion… you name it. So I’m looking forward to getting to know you and having a good time together!
