Hi everyone!
My name is Mareike, I am 29 years old and I am born in Braunschweig.
I am social work student. But one of the best things in life is free time. Since a few years I detect “alone- traveling” and now I want more experiences and visit more country’s! It was my childhood dream to go and see every continent. So I have a lot to do… ;)
I am an open person and not shy. Friends and sport are very important for me…so I would say I am not a couchpotato.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet other people and visit other cultures is always very exciting.
It is a great idea to meet someone who can show me the places I would never see as a tourist. I am interested in the culture and not in the “all- inclusive- hotelpeace”. And another good effect is to getting better in english. I am sure I make a lot of mistakes, but I hope you understand me anyway. ;)

Interests

I like a lot of activities. Climping, running, shopping ^^ , dancing and so on…
I am open for a lot of new things and ideas.
Music is very important for me. I hear it every day (in this moment, too) and that’s the reason why I love concerts, musicals or festivals.
A little segment of my favorite bands are Florence and the Machine, Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men, Tenacious D, Disturbed….I have to stop here. ;)
My third category is friends. They are very important for me so I try to meet them regular. We are watching movies together or have fun in the Disco. I love my “girl-evenings” and the conversations in a café or a cocktailbar.

Music:
I don’t repeat all my favorite bands here. I like so much music.
Not only alternative, metal or rock. For example Avicii is great,too.

Movies:
“Eat pray Love” is a wonderful movie! I love it.
I like the series “Modern Family” or “Sex and the City”.
It is the same like Music…there are a lot of fantastic films but not enough space to write ;)

I could visit a Maroccan wedding.
In Crete I stayed in the persident suite for free... :D
