Hi I'm Marek.
I'm 19 years old and from Germany.
At the moment I am travelling through Central and South America always looking for an opportunity to volunteer.
I am here because I wanted to see the nature, the animals, the cultures and meet the people since I was a child, I just had to see it with my own eyes.
I am a calm and relaxed person, that wants to make the best out of every day and discover at least a bit of the beautiful planet we're living on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm at Couchsurfing because I think it is an awesome opportunity to get around the world. You're given the chance to meet so many people and make friends. You really get to know the country and its people, it is a really authentic experience.
Of course it is also a really cheap way to get around, which is important for me as I am just a volunteer travelling on a low budget, I think you should not deny this.

Interests

I am interested in everything that is related to nature, wildlive or science at all. I would like study Biochemistry or something similar but I am not sure yet. One of the purposes of my travels is to find out what I really would like to do, but it is not the main reason.
I also enjoy painting and was doing East Asian martial arts before I started to travel. And of course I just like to meet new people and cultures, hear music, have a nice chat and relax.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Reggae, Hip Hop, German Hip Hop, Dancehall, Jazz and music from Latin America and the Carribean in general.
I think I couldn't name a favourite movie, I just love to whatch them. If a movie is good than it's just good, no matter which genre.
Books are awesome and I'm always ashamed of myself that I don't read enough, I would like to spend a bit more time with literature and see what it has to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had many wonderful and unique moments while traveling. The time in an animal sanctuary in the peruvian Amazon was really cool, I fed a 100kg heavy jaguar and took care for baby wooly monkeys. I'll never forget that time.
