ABOUT ME

i have lived and working in olympia pretty much all my life. it's an amazing city with people from all over the country and the world who come here to educate themselves and live. i haven't much more than a high school diploma and some college education under my hat, i've chosen to educate myself through my friends and family, new and old, through strangers from strange places, from success and failure. i believe much of life's experience's endow us with the wisdom no formal education can offer. i wish to learn about myself through awkward, foreign, and trying situations, but also heart racing, rejuvenating, eye widening ones as well. life is for living...lets see what we can do with it. cooking, once a form of employment, has become an amazing new hobby for my creativity to flourish...and i can bake a mean crisp. i'm getting back into art. a special part of me that, unfortunately, i have neglected for much to long, i'm exploring singing, playing guitar, stencil art, photography, jewelry making to name a few.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've been a member for a very long time, but only recently have used CS. it was a great experience and i want more! i want to host and be hosted. i can be a tour guide, i want to be guided. i want to show surfers my olympia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i just recently surfed for the first time and it was so great! i'm a little addicted now and hope i can share my feelings of elation with other surfers. i was in minneapolis for a friend's wedding and had a couple days after to just putts around. winter had just ended and all of a sudden it was summer time. lush green river walks and lakeside roadways everywhere. hidden eateries hidden away in different neighborhoods. . . .mmmmm birchwood cafe. . . .so, so very scrumptulessent, disc golfing, rock climbing at vertical endeavors, waterfalls, friendly and knowledgeable home town host. it was an awesome experience and i can't wait to do it again, or create the same for someone else.

food! food! food! i love traveling and finding those tasty morsels of culinary deliciousness hidden away in the nooks and crannies of every city. i'm a huge fan of lawn sports. frisbee, croquet, horse shoes, you know the routine. just started to get into rock climbing and am super stoked about learning the sport. as i said before i love food, so of course i love to cook as well. i especially love recreating dishes or twisting dishes that i've really enjoyed out in my explorations. billiards rock and so does bowling. craft beers are a very important staple in my life. i make art, play music and sing. making jewelry, being outdoors and hiking, cycling, photography, theater hopping. the list could go on but it's starting to hurt my brain thinking about them.
