I am an engineering student with all its implications. Born and raised in Latvia and with childhood memories from time spent in rural Ukraine, I now study in Bristol and work in Warwick, UK. Though I have moved around just a little bit and had spent awesome time with people from around the globe, there is so much yet to see and do!

My main hobby now is geeking out on all things coffee. So much that my kitchen has now limited space with loads of coffee kit filling up the counter. That in mind, I tend to have hipster coffee shop explorations as my go-to to not only enjoy a nice espresso but also to get the 'vibe' of the area. And, yes, sounds cheesy, but you know when a place feels right!

I'd like to believe that I am active, often choosing longer walks over transport. Currently, my transportation love is a nice fixed-gear bike, that has only lead to one crash! Otherwise, I like to play and talk basketball, ice-hockey (more talk, haha), and love to learn to longboard, surf and wake properly.

I deeply admire passion in its purest sense when people just go on for a long monologue about their interests disregarding any supposed conventions of conversation. Love it. Please, do that and I will do too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Purely meeting people from the local area is the only real way to discover a place. Period. Plus, there is something great about sleeping on the floor or couch.
