About Me

Total travel addict.

After living in Asia for 6+ years and backpacking all over, I'm big into wandering and getting lost and stumbling upon amazing places and experiences not found in any guide book. Now that I'm living back in the States (for the time being) I'm hoping to find those same unique experiences and unexpected adventures a little closer to home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet rad people with similar or interesting experiences and interests who want to pay it forward.

Too many to number, but I'm big on new experiences, particularly those including good food, drink, company, and conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got my first scuba diving certification in Malapascua in the Philippines in 2015 and, ever since that first dive, I'm addicted. Getting my PADI Open Water cert was a last-minute decision on a trip with some close friends and was the best possible thing I could have done. Since then, I've gotten my Advanced Open Water, Deep Water and I've become a certified tech diver through TDI. Diving is incredible and inspiring and everything I see, whether it's a massive thresher shark, or a mellow sea turtle, or the 15th angry little clown fish on that dive makes me smile just as much as I did when I was a kid, seeing animals on TV or in an aquarium. I've started planning trips around migrations of whale sharks and spawning grounds for rays. The irony of the fact that I'm a Phoenician, born and raised, is not lost on me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a million and one travel stories. I'm happy to share and I love getting tips on new places to visit. I lived in China for a while, so anyone who wants to learn or practice Mandarin or find the best authentic asian around Phoenix needs look no further.

What I Can Share with Hosts
