About Me
Hello, fellow travelers and hosts!
I’m Margareta, originally from Poland, but for over 20 years, I’ve been calling Prague, Czech Republic, my home. I work in international fashion retail, and as a passion project, I also teach postgraduate students at university. My stable life and flexible work allow me to travel a lot, which is my true love!
I’m an outdoor enthusiast—trekking, hiking, waterfalls, and nature bring me the most joy. At the same time, I’m fascinated by history, temples, and the cultural heritage of different places. For me, traveling isn’t just about seeing new places but also about meeting people and experiencing their way of life firsthand. I believe that the best way to understand a country is through its people, and I love exchanging stories, experiences, and perspectives.
As a guest, I’m respectful, clean, and well-organized. I always appreciate and adapt to different cultures and lifestyles. I’m open-minded and enjoy deep conversations, especially about cultural differences in daily life, business, and society. Of course, I’d also be happy to share insights about Poland and the Czech Republic if you’re curious!
Looking forward to meeting wonderful people along the way and creating great memories together!
Margareta
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, traveling is not just about places—it’s about people.
I love experiencing different cultures, sharing stories, and seeing the world through the eyes of locals. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to connect, learn, and exchange experiences in a way that no guidebook can offer. I’m here to meet amazing people, understand their way of life, and hopefully bring a little piece of my own culture to share as well.
I’ll also be happy to help out with daily tasks or duties—whether it’s cooking, errands, or anything else—because sharing time and experiences is what makes Couchsurfing special!
Music, Movies, and Books
I don’t have one specific favorite, but I enjoy a variety of things. I love listening to audiobooks, especially crime and literary fiction. When it comes to movies, I prefer independent films, and I find instrumental music incredibly relaxing. I’m always open to discovering new genres and exploring different styles of storytelling!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my professional life, I’m a manager focused on sales analysis, budget planning, and fashion store operations, which I’m very proud of.
But beyond work, I’ve also set and conquered personal challenges. One of my most amazing achievements was completing a 100 km trek in 24 hours. It was a goal I worked toward over time, gradually building up from 25 km to 50, 60, and 70 km treks, pushing myself further each time to ultimately achieve this incredible feat
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always eager to learn about different cultures, cuisines, and behaviors, as every new experience enriches my understanding of the world.
I can teach some English, Czech, or Polish, and I’m happy to share insights about life in Poland and the Czech Republic. With my background in retail management,
I’m also open to discussing and supporting others in retail operations, sharing my knowledge and experience in this field.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m happy to share my love for traveling and exchange experiences about the places I’ve visited and the cultures I’ve encountered.
I’m also open to supporting hosts with daily duties, whether it’s cooking, cleaning, or running errands. If you have children, I’d be delighted to help with them as well, whether it’s playing, teaching, or simply lending a hand where needed.
