About Me

Hey there! My name is Margarita but most people call me Mago. I am a high school graduate and I will be majoring in Physical Therapy when I go to college in 2018. In the meantime, I have 7 months to travel! I have lots of experience with athletics such as gymnastics, swimming, and rowing. During the summer, I enjoy volunteering with children at summer camps and orphanages by using the money I raise from selling tie dye t-shirts. Some of my favorite things include hiking, going to the beach, listening to live music, and making meals with friends and family. I love meeting new people and helping in any way I can. As a former competitive athlete, I push myself to step outside of my comfort zone, and love learning new languages and integrating myself into foreign environments. I hope to start a travel blog to share my experiences with the world (I'm bad with computers so someone help!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is an incredible way to meet locals and fellow travelers. I've never enjoyed resorts or other touristy forms of accommodation because it feels very disconnected. By living alongside locals, I hope to open my mind to new ways of living, and share my own experiences to build long lasting relationships!
