Hi, I’m Maggie :)).

"He saw himself as a Wandering Scholar. He was alone, and he was ready to sleep anywhere, talk to anybody, live on almost nothing, eat or drink anything, have a go at any language, make friends with rich or poor, and brave the worst that heat and cold, mishap and blister, officialdom, prejudice and politics could do to him" - I read this book, “The time of gifts”, and I fell in love with that paragraph.

I love adventure, video games, books, tv shows, caving and climbing, watching good movies (bad ones too for fun), travelling with friends or travelling to meet new friends, film photography, eating a lot, getting lost in strange places.
I dabble in tattooing, I’m a LARP-er (go to games in which I go on quests and fight people with fake swords, I have an armour and everything), I’m also big on zoology.
Total nerd, occasional weird person and probably a lot more multitudes :))

Previously studied art, game design, currently studying education. Worked as a game tester and as a teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling in an infinitely more interesting way, meeting people I wouldn't otherwise meet, hearing their stories and making new ones! I guess as all of us here probably, searching for that human connection.

Music, Movies, and Books

It’s always so hard to say, I love so many. I listen to all kinds of music, a lot of disco, lots of blues, alternative rock, violin concerts, jazz, old classics, new weird finds. Always open to recommendations, always on the search for something new.

I go crazy for a good movie. Or like any movie watched with friends. Some favourites are Into the wild, Swiss army man, The diary of Bridget Jones, La la land, Lord of the rings, The thing, Children of men, Arcane, Coraline, Mad Max, Gladiator, Labyrinth, Stand by me and maaany more.

As with everything else, I have too many favourites. I’m a giant Stephen King fan, Ray Bradbury, Terry Pratchet, Ryszard Kapuściński. The kite runner, Shadow of the wind, The dark tower, All quiet on the western front, A thousand splendid suns, The stand, Brave new world, King rat, Something wicked this way comes, The thorn birds and many more. Other than that I love reading realistic drama and actually, mostly anything.
Also I love comics! (The Walking Dead, Sandman, Y the last man, lots of short ones)

I do also play a loot of games! Lots of DnD as well as other rpg formats, played the whole of Gloomhaven too for whoever knows it. I love small indie adventure, puzzle, story games as well as big rpg's that take me weeks and months. For two years I studied game design so I just love the medium as an art form.

Please recommend me your favourite (book, movie, song)! I will take it very seriously.

I love listening to stories and telling mine in return, I always have a lot of questions and can never get tired of listening.

I always love sharing any skills I have, I could be helpful with any kind of art, printing, photography, creative things.
I spend a year as a digital art and video-editing teacher for kids so I really love the process.

I love giving sketches as a memory.
