About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep growing, push beyond my boundaries, and move forward.

I currently live in Chile, but I am relocating to the USA in 2026 with my 10-year-old daughter—this is the greatest adventure of our lives! While my daughter is incredibly excited, I am focused on planning ahead to ensure the transition is smooth, meaningful, and enjoyable for both of us.

We plan to settle in the Virginia-Maryland-DC area (the DMV), so we are taking a short exploratory trip to Baltimore, Arlington, and Washington, D.C., before our definitive move in June.

As an architect specializing in historic preservation, I am working hard toward becoming a licensed architect in the US. I am eager to explore these cities and study their urban fabrics. Beyond my professional interests, I am also keen to learn about the cultural life and family dynamics in the area.

A NOTE TO HOSTS

I have been a guest before and understand the dynamic. If I am requesting a stay, it is because I have read your profile thoroughly and believe our profiles match.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING—AND WHY

I began my Couchsurfing journey years ago while living in London, using it to explore Europe and connect with locals. Since then, I have experienced both sides of the community: I’ve been a guest and a host. I even used Couchsurfing when traveling through the Netherlands with my daughter, and later, we opened our own home to host members ourselves.

But then the pandemic hit. Now that we are back to traveling, I am excited to reconnect with the community.

As we embark on this exploratory trip to the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia), I am looking for more than just a place to stay. I would love the chance to talk with locals I see this as an introduction to life in the US—a way to learn about different neighborhoods, how people commute, and where kids go to school. I think CS is the perfect alternative to gain that authentic local perspective.

Interests

My daughter and I are visiting the DMV area for about a week. We don't need much space—a single bed for us to share would be perfectly fine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Over the last year, I have been deeply involved in personal development, meditation, and healthy living. I have also been exploring life from a metaphysical perspective and learning about child brain development and disciplined parenting.

On the professional side, I enjoy learning about real estate and personal finance. I am also fully committed to the process of becoming a licensed architect in the USA.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living and working in Toronto, Canada: An eye-opening experience that shaped my perspective.

Living and studying in London, UK: An amazing time that I’ll never forget.

M'Hamid, Morocco: Traveling to this tiny village to work and connect with locals was a truly bonding experience.

Traveling across the Netherlands with my daughter: A quite exhausting experience (haha!), but exactly what I needed at the time.

Searching for inspiration in Manhattan: Staying in Harlem and enjoying every corner of the city with my family. That was our first trip to the USA—and it was full of surprises!

Moving to the USA with my daughter is our biggest and most important adventure yet.
