About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Escape the bubble!

ABOUT ME

Got a 'real' job, so now I can finally afford to do the things I want to do! I miss traveling and am looking forward to meeting people from completely different cultures and points of view.
I feel like the U.S. can be so suffocatingly self-absorbed that it becomes necessary to get out for a while and gain some perspective...especially during an election year :P

5 little, random facts:
My favorite food is a tie between gherkins and sweet relish.
I'm training for a half marathon, so for the next 6 months, I might as well enjoy running.
I change my hair color at least once a year, so my driver's license is never accurate.
I'm newly vegan
My ultimate destination: Antarctica

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to gravitate towards non-fiction (historical, political, analyses), but Dr. Seuss still brings a smile to my face

I've been told I have an extremely eclectic taste in music...I'm a fan of house music, classic rock, indie, oldies--the list goes on. My fav bands of the moment: Arcade Fire and Broken Bells

Based on my DVD collection: Blazing Saddles (rather, anything by Mel Brooks), Grandma's Boy, WALL-E, Planet Earth, Idiocracy, Gran Torino, Avatar, V for Vendetta, Team America...clearly, comedies are favorites
