HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted surfers, been hosted and participated in different kinds of activities... Couchsurfing is a great way to get an in-depth look into different cultures -and sometimes just to spend a couple of hours chatting away with fellow travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love that feeling of being welcome which I get whenever and wherever I meet couchsurfers. I've surfed, hosted and travelled with couchsurfers and it's been great. I participate when I can, although a lot of the time other things get in the way. If I don't reply it's simply that I haven't checked my profile for a while...

Languages & cultures, travelling & meeting new people (obviously!), dinners with friends, a drink in the pub or a walk in the park in a good company... I also like good live music, African drumming and all kinds of dance though I can't hold a rhythm :)...

I love books and chatting about them... always happy to have recommendations!! One beautiful but less well-known book I'd like to recommend is Isabel Eberhardt's In the Shadow of Islam -she was a true traveller!
