Hi,
I am Margit, originally from The Netherlands, but have lived in Scotland for over 10 years where I studied and then worked. My partner Neil (English) and I will be setting off shortly to travel around Europe by (push) bikes. We will set off with just our bikes, bare essentials and camping equipment and are planning to camp our way around Europe with hopefully a bit of a mix of couch surfing aswell as this will be a good opportunity to get to meer new friends and soak up their local culture.

It's always fun to meet new people from different parts of the world! We look forward to hosting others once we are not busy travelling ourselves.
We will always be respectful towards our hosts and treat their home and their culture and customs the way we would like be be treated in our own home.

兴趣

I am fascinated by different cultures and language in specific. Whenever I visit a new country I will always try and master a few essentials as quickly as possible to make it easier to communicate.
We both love travelling and soaking up new cultures, history, traditions, food, etc. We both have a passion for the great outdoors, animals, nature and any sports associated with that, such as walking, cycling, canoeing, swimming, snorkelling, fishing camping etc.
Both of us are keen cooks, and are non fussy eaters, we love a home cooked meal, although eating out and trying new dishes in different countries around the world is always exiting!

We both have a very broad taste of music and like almost anything. We are both keen to see live music, no matter what setting, music festival, concert or at the back of a pub etc!
as for reading, we both like to read about other people's travels, by foot, bike, campervan etc. It's great reading other people's stories through books, or blogs and gathering hints and tips for our own travels!
We have kept our own blog whilst travelling in our van and will be keeping a new one for when we are on our bikes, should anyone want to follow us!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

We have been travelling around Europe in our campervan for the past 1.5 years visiting a lot of different countries, from Portugal to romania and pretty much everything in between. We've just sold our van and are now ready to explore all the bits we haven't been to, and perhaps revisit some of our favourite places by bike. This will be a lot slower pace, which means you get to see the world from a very different perspective.
