I think meeting people outside at the bar or school or at work is different from meeting them in their own houses. I guess it can make the acquainting process a lot easier. Also, as I am going to live in Austin for a long time for the first time, I want to learn a lot of useful tips from the actual residents who are currently living in Austin :)
