About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently an au pair in Newcastle (since last august) and my contract will ends mid July. I will go back to France for a few weeks next August to visit my family and then I'd like to come back to Newcastle and find a job. I wish I could look for a flat and for a job right now so I would be less stressed about it all but since I need to go back to France I feel a bit stuck. I'd need a few weeks once I'll be back to get a new job and then be able to get a proper flat.
Couchsurfing would help me a lot for that!

Interests

I'm highly interested into video games and cinema. One of my motivation to get a job is to finally be able to afford my ps4 and my games. I love new technology and gadgets, all those little useless things that make you say "life is really cool". I also really love watching movies and series. My favorite subjects are Zombies, Skateboard, Whisky and Ants. So you can guess that the only reason I'm always invited to parties is because I have a severe obsession about doing the dishes. For real. I actually absolutely love doing the dishes, and I'm not even trying to sell myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite kind of music is Metal, and my favorite band is Pantera. I also enjoy listening to movies/series/videogames soundtrack, I discovered most of my music tastes through skateboard videos when I was younger. But I'm also a big fan of electronic music, like Vitalic, Chemical Brothers, Ratatat..
My favorites movie would be Shaun of the Dead, Donnie Darko, High Fidelity, 28 Days Later, Eyes Wide Shut, Spinal Tap, 12 Monkeys..
My favorites books are Bernard Werber's trilogy about ants, "Empire of the Ants" and "The Encyclopedia of Absolute and Relative Knowledge".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm pretty sure I haven't done it yet. Otherwise the fact that I need to think about it for a few minutes would determinate that it's a quite lame amazing thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can be a very good player two and I know my pokemons. Also I know a lot of constellations but in their french name so I can't impress anyone in England..
I love cooking even if, surprisingly, I never do. My father is a cook and he teached me a few nice and posh french recipe. I know how to bake cookies, tarte tatin, crumble and other tasty stuffs, but always seem to struggle into finding a good reason to start baking them. I also learnt how to put the tea bag, how long to let it rest, and how much milk to put in the cup of tea after. I've been influenced so much since I'm in England.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Definitely not my pokemons cards.
Probably a pizza.
Hopefully beers.
