ABOUT ME

I grew up on an airplane since my mom was an employee since before I was born. I had many experiences in my life and have traveled to many parts of the world. I love meeting new people and learning new languages. I have been a vegetarian for almost 30 years and my kids all eat both ways. We are an adventure-seeking family who loves to spend most of our time outdoors. My favorite outdoor pastimes are paddling, camping, climbing and skiing. (I clearly live in the wrong state to enjoy all of these to the fullest!) I am very open-minded and hope to meet people who share our love of outdoors and adventure. I am also very involved with boy scouts and girl scouts.

PHILOSOPHY

I am laid back and easy going. I prefer to roll with the punches rather than have a huge detailed plan for my days and weeks. I love my 3 kids, but sometimes it can be difficult traveling with all of us! (At least we are light packers and can all fit easily into a small car!) I like talking with new people and sharing new experiences and places.

I have had many people use my couch for years, just never formally joined couch surfing until our recent German exchange friend added my couch to a place he has stayed!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to the top of the ski jump in Lillehammer Norway just after the olympics there. I didn't realize how big it was!I am also a nationally ranked ski racer. And as of August 2019, I have visited all 50 states. I also got to stay in a 17th century house through couchsurfing!
