Overview
About Me
I am a very open-minded person with a variety of different interests. I'm always up for meeting interesting people, having long conversations and adventures and learning about things I don't yet know. Currently, my sights are set on travelling around the world as much as possible, for I believe youth is the best time to do so. I am very passionate about human rights and fundamental freedoms, but equally animal rights, which is why I'm vegan. I am, however, always open to different views on the world and to hosting and being hosted by non-vegans.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people from all corners of this amazing world. I have recently stayed in hostels while travelling, which provided for wonderful interactions with other travellers, but I believe couchsurfing would be an even better chance to engage with locals and learn about the local culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have a very varying taste in music and I could name a few favourites from almost any genre. When travelling, I am extremely enthusiastic about street performers and local music. Some of my favourite bands and musicians include Sonic Youth, Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground, Buena Vista Social Club, The Doors, The Cure, Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire, David Bowie, Radiohead, Slowdive, Tame Impala, Cocteau Twins, Jamie xx, Caribou, Burial, Boards of Canada, Four Tet, Mount Kimbie, Animal Collective, Beirut, Devendra Banhart, Fleet Foxes, Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg, Jäääär, Dagö, Pantokraator... I am also very much into classical and choral music, for I have been singing in choirs for over 10 years altogether.
Movies: I watch too many movies in my free time, so I once again have a hard time putting together a list. I have loved the works of, for example, Sofia Coppola, Ingmar Bergman, Richard Linklater, Quentin Tarantino, the French New Wave filmmakers (Truffaut, Godard, Rohmer), Woody Allen, Curtis Hanson, Terrence Malick, Rainer Werner Fassbinder... I also like to watch documentaries and TV series and am very fond of the Monty Python group.
Books: again, an unexhaustive list, but the writings of William H. Faulkner, Jorge Luis Borges, James Joyce, Mihhail Bulgakov, Virginia Woolf, Iris Murdoch, Kazuo Ishiguro, Henry Miller, The Beat Generation (Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg), Tõnu Õnnepalu...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling solo and meeting wonderful people in Paris and Ile-de-France; taken a 4000km road trip from Estonia to Turkey with my friends; exploring tourist-restricted underground lakes and caves up in the mountains in Sardinia; volunteering at Flow music festival in Helsinki and discovering the side of this city I have never seen before; exploring Rome on crutches with my leg in a plaster cast...
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bulgaria, Egypt, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Sweden, Turkey
