About Me

Excessively empathic in a sassy way. On a painful path to self-improvement (will stop when I'm dead or asleep). Writing stuff that no-one (yet) had the chance to publish.

I was supposed to become a Communication Director but instead, I decided to despise money and become a writer. So far, it's a complete success. I've been traveling in Asia with my boyfriend since September 1rst.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love hearing people talking about themselves, especially when they are more interesting than me. They make good stories for my books.

Interests

There are very little things I am not interested about. I am sorry to say that the time and space continuum is one of these.

Otherwise, I am more of a literacy person. I have read a lot of books and wrote several. I am a poor dancer but I really like trying. I am currently learning Japanese, and loving the calligraphy. I sing old French songs (Irish ballads when I'm depressed)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books : Herbjorg Wassmo, Isabel Allende and Angela Carter are my queens.

Movies : I admit a guilty pleasure for Tarantino but my allegiance goes to Park Chan-wook.

Music : It's music, I can't enumerate everything. I revere Kate Bush, Joe Hisaichi, Haendel and Loreena McKennitt, and I listen to rock/metal (Equilibrium, Sonata Arctica..) when I need to get something done.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my second trip to Scotland (probably my favorite place on earth so far), I spent the night at a couchsurfer's place. Turned out he was a member of a sect and wanted to recruit some new acolytes. I locked myself in a room, managed to sleep and left in the morning before he woke up.

Apart from that, I jumped naked in a fjord, in Norway, in late November. The banks were frozen. My legs began to stiffen almost instantly. I screamed and laughed, and rushed to the shore. Haven't even had a cold.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French and sarcasm (it's a typical French ability).
More seriously, I can cook a good old-fashioned French dish, if I can find the right ingredients (that includes butter and cooking-wine). I can share a lot of stories from my travels. If you're really into it, we can talk about marketing, advertising and communication (my background).

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good conversation, a lot of stories, some dreaded jokes, a French Dish.
