Hi there! I'm originally from the San Francisco area, though have also lived in Seattle, Santa Monica, Brooklyn, briefly in Australia and currently, Christchurch, New Zealand. I've been traveling almost non-stop since October 2015 and have no real plans of slowing down any time soon. I'm easy going, responsible, honest, clean, and loving the adventure so far!

I usually stay at hostels, but I think it completely changes a travel experience to connect with locals and see a city in a way you never would otherwise. I love the community aspect of couchsurfing and hope to return the favor whenever I get a place of my own!

兴趣

I grew up in a family that would go hiking on the weekends and that is still one of my favorite things to do. There's just something about being out there amongst trees and mountains that's unlike anything else. I also really love being on boats and jokingly have the nickname "Captain Mari." I can even occasionally be found wearing a captain's hat. I enjoy exploring new cities, meeting new people, and trying new foods.

I make YouTube videos about my travels, so when I'm not out exploring, most of my free time gets taken up by editing and looking for a good wifi connection. :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My mom and I went skydiving together for the fist time a few years ago and it was so awesome to share that experience with her. I'll never forget that feeling of watching her jump out of the plane! (see pic haha)
