My name is Mari and I'm originally from Iceland and currently living in Norway, I live 40 min outside stavanger close to the coast. I have a dog named Marley and he loves people, we both do!

I love travelling and exploring and I think one life isn't enough to explore this earth, so I want to make the most out of my journeys. My best trips I've had aren't the ones in expensive hotels full of luxury or the most popular tourist places, my best experience has been in cheap hotels/guesthouses far away from tourists where you actually get to know locals and eat non-tourist food.

I want to get to know people from all of the world and explore the rest of the world. I love to travel and couchsurfing looks like a great way to explore and get to know people. But I'm new here so just figuring out how this works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of amazing things while travelling but the best so far is a geology trip to northern Spain - hiking in the Cantabrian mountains, nothing compares to the feeling when you reach the top of a mountain and the amazing view that comes with it!
