About Me

I am an open-minded person. I enjoy discussions about anything, mostly I have an opinion, which I'm not afraid to tell. I like people with different interests and habits than if they are opened to accept my ways to.
I can be chatty and if I'm boring you, you can tell me. I won't be offended if you have a different opinion than me. I enjoy good sarcasm. I can be described as an earnest person, straightforward and if you have the same a bit witty humour, then also funny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a create way to meet new people and really see places through the locals eyes. I've had only great experiences both surfing and hosting.
Currently not hosting, since I'm moving and also going on a trip myself.

Interests

I am a freelance dance artist, so many of my interests are connected to performing arts and arts in general.
I'm interested in cultural processes and in general culture making.
Recent years I've started to be more interested in politics. I try to follow what is going on in different parts of the world. Well, as much as I can and have time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Dogville, In the mood for love, The Fall... I like Trier's and Wong's creation. And of course the Myazaki films.

Music - Anouar Brahem, Muslimgauze, Jackson 5, The Dodos, Sigur Rós, Beirut, Shpongle, Younger Brother, Nouvelle Vague, Four Tet, Björk, Mum, FM Belfast and of course some Estonian artists: Jarek Kasar, Epifolium, Vaiko Eplik. From recent styles: soul, early jazz and ethnomusic from all around the world!!
.
Books - I'm not much of a book reader. A good book I read and recommend: Viktor Pelevin's "Numbers"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to many places but one of my favourite experience is connected to dance. It was a workshop in France and the task seemed really simple, yet it was most difficult to perform. The only thing I had to do was to enter the room. The air around me was thick, I couldn't move faster and I couldn't stop. All of it would have slipt away if I did a wrong move.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach contemporary dance :D If you are truly interested, we can book a room and go dancing. I can teach you some ballet, basics from lindy hop, salsa, valse, some estonian folk dances...

I can teach you Estonian (since there is only about a million of us, it is basically a secret language;) and some Russian, if you already don't know.

I will gladly learn a new dance or a song.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Currently I'm interested in hosting myself, but if I visit you I can bring some Estonian chocolate or dark bread;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Iran, Jordan, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
