About Me

*** I will try my best to reply to messages as soon as possible whilst travelling**** NB I will not accept invitations from hosts who have no references unfortunately.

I'm very easy to talk to, sociable and friendly. People usually comment on my sense of humor and ability to chat to anyone. I appreciate the simple things in life, good values and making the most of my free time. Recently donated over half my possessions to charity as I'm trying to become more of a minimalist.

I love cooking. I'd love to say I would share some of my country's recipes but Wales isn't really known for it's food - but like most Welsh people, I can belt out a song.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet local people to get a proper feel of the places I'll be visiting.

I'm a bit older than your regular 21 year old gap year traveller so not really into the whole hostel drinking scene.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything from Country to Classical. I love the violin. I play the guitar and used to gig regularly in my 20s.

I like to read a lot of non-fiction as I love learning all kinds of random things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled overnight through the desert in northern Egypt (without a jacket - apparently it gets cold at night).

Turned up at the gates of Wimbledon tennis club when Andy Murray was playing in the final and was given some tickets by a total stranger. The best freebie I've ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some Welsh (if you want people to think you're from Lord of the Rings)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to cook and help out. Good with pets if you have a dog that needs walking - not so good with spiders which will make the Australian part of my journey quite nerve wrecking!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, Wales
