Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I actually need a place to stay between the 1st and the 11th of March, because I’m volunteering at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. I need to be closer to where I’m participating in this-but I’m not made of $$$ 😭 (I can at least pay for expenses). So far the locals that I have met have all been lovely and willing to offer guidance to a newby to the area. I’m keen to socialise as I don’t really know anyone here besides a few family members out in Ferntree Gully. I’m also keen to go out and explore the City and perhaps the nightlife?? I’m a nana some of the time as well 😋

Interests

I have all of my equipment In New Zealand, but I did design and construct clothing. I love cats and other animals. I enjoy learning about anything as I seek understanding before Judgement. I love cooking and baking (vegan). I have no qualms about living in a non-vegan household and I’ll respect you because I support your life choices ✊ I love game nights-all of my stuff is in NZ at the moment, but I’m up for anything like that. I like to explore and check nature out. Love makeup! I also love anime and am highly interested in learning Japanese-just learnt a few phrases so far-I’m planning on traveling there in 2, or 3 years time.

Music 🎧 Chaos Chaos, Queen, Studio killers, Die Antwood, Wild Belle, Lady Ga Ga, The weekend, Sia, Justin Bieber, Nick and Joe Jonas, Niki Minaj, Halsey, Marina and the diamonds, Death Grips, major lazer, The knocks, the Pentatonix. (Confession-this is only all I can think of right now 😅)

Films 🎥 The Back to the future trilogy! All of David Attenborough’s nature documentaries. BBC funded docs about prehistoric life on earth and space. I used to watch Toy story years and years ago, but I still think It’s hilarious 😂 I love scary films with a good plot like insidious and The conjuring. Eight legged Freaks! I’m a fan of anime films that are based on anime series. Twin peaks-directed by David Lynch. Get out! I love films that seem like I’m watching a long detailed version of a black mirror episode. Also love all Studio Ghibli films and also Mary and the witches flower! 😋

Books 📖- Earth’s children series by Jean Auel. The throne of glass series (still waiting on the last book to come out this year). The China study, Chicken soup for the cat-lover’s soul and I’m starting to read a song of fire and ice (the series is named after this first book).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can flip on trampolines and create clothing from scratch ❤️ I’m also a great impromptu cook and will one day have my own live in animal sanctuary 🐈🌱

I might be able to teach you a few things about cats and vegan cooking (totally unrelated to eat other) 😋

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you- I can offer style advice and help with makeup 💄 what’s mine is yours- I’m all about sharing as long as you ask. I’ll clean and do what I can to help out without fuss. I can help you repair clothes if you have an iron, and a needle and thread-I’m very neat 😊 If you have animals I will love them.
